Introducing date palm cultivation to Dahod’s tribal region marks a milestone in sustainable livelihood diversification.
N M Sadguru Foundation organized a tree plantation event on Gram Panchayat land in Mojari village. Staff from Dahod HQ and field teams planted 500 fruit and forestry saplings.
A tree plantation event organized by the N M Sadguru staff took place on 31st July 2024 at the Gram Panchayat land in Mojari village, Morva Hadaf block, District Panchmahal. The staff from Dahod HO and field teams from Dahod and Panchmahals participated in planting 500 saplings of various fruit and forestry species. The event was a ended by Mrs. Nimishaben Suthar, MLA, and Sharmishthaben, Founder Director.
A pilot project on date palm cultivation was launched for the first time in the tribal areas of Dahod district, with support from the Department of Horticulture, Dahod, and TASP Dahod. The project benefited 34
beneficiaries across 7 talukas in presence of Project Administrator, Mr. Smit Lodha, Tribal Area Sub Plan, Dahod and Mr. Himanshu Parekh, Deputy Director, Horticulture Department, Dahod
