The Foundation has placed a strong focus on vegetable cultivation, enabling farmers to earn a steady cash income from small landholdings.
Farmers grow a diverse range of seasonal vegetables, including both creeper and non-creeper varieties, along with spices and tuber crops. Creeper vegetables thrive on raised structures, enhancing yield and quality, while non-creeper vegetables flourish in open fields. Key crops include brinjal, tomato, chili, okra, cabbage, cauliflower, and leafy greens, alongside tubers like potato, yam, and spices such as turmeric, ginger, and garlic. Seasonal fruits like watermelon and strawberries are also integrated into cultivation.
