- Radhiben of village Rohaniya Mehji of Sajjangarh has ive members in her family and possess 2 acres of land. The traditional agriculture in absence of proper guidance was not suficient to meet the livelihood of her family and the entire family used to migrate to the cities every year. She got the training on high value crops under the support of HDFC Parivartan project and her family started cultivation of vegetables in 0.5 acre of land in three seasons in a year and her annual earning now is `1.27 lakhs as detailed below; The success of Radhiben became a source of inspiration for other families of the village and so 25 other families got motivated to adopt similar intervention bringing a positive shift towards selfsuficiency and economic stability. The story of Radhiben exempliies the potential for positive change when individuals are provided with the right guidance and empowered to harness their innate abilities.
Leelaben from Usra village used to be a migrant worker as she was unable to make a living year round in her village. She belonged to the indigenous community. Despite facing many challenges to survive, she was determined to cultivate vegetables to support her family, but found dificulty in achieving the dream. She was lucky enough to get inancial and technical support from the Axis Bank Foundation. She changed her farming practise from the traditional rain fed agriculture to modern vegetable cultivation including the establishment of high-tech nursery. As the days passed, her hard work began to bear fruit. Her vegetable patch lourished with greenery, yielding an abundance of nutritious produce. Leelaben's high-tech nursery gives her an earning of `. 2.80 lakhs through selling the vegetables and lower seedlings in three season. She is now an experienced entrepreneur and other women in the village trying to adopt the entrepreneurship model. Following her model, there are over 100
Under the The Hans Foundation project on Doubling farmer's income through agriculture based livelihood initiatives in Rama block of Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, 8 solar powered lift irrigation schemes has brought 68 acres of land under irrigation and smile on the faces of 40 farmers enabling them to access irrigation and adopt cultivation of high value crop
With support of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), total six lift irrigation schemes were completed during the reporting year bringing 650 acres of land of 571 households under irrigation in Banswara and Jhalawar districts of Rajasthan. Farmers are happy to take bumper production of mustard, wheat and gram with irrigation support for the first time. Total grant utilised for this six lift irrigation schemes is `435 lakhs.

A gabion structure was constructed in the field of Prakash Samji in village Hamir Faliya under NABARD WDF-Thetham project to reduce the runoff velocity and to stabilise the upstream drainage system. This gabion greatly helped the farmer to take the crops in the bed created due to soil restoration and water conservation, which was not possible earlier. He grew paddy and fodder for the first time in monsoon that yielded 5 quintals of paddy and 27 quintals (275 bundles) of fodder for cattle. He then also took gram during the winter that yielded 160 kg of gram. This shows that the watershed treatment is extremely useful in converting the uncultivable land to productive land.

Sadguru Foundation promoted a new Dairy Co-operative in Usara village that has 71 members and 400 liters of milk collected daily, which stopped women migration and improved livelihood.
Sannu Ninama (age 26) started breeding 40 Kadaknath chicks as a result of NABARD-WDF Thetham support. Instead of selling chicks, he decided to breed them to collect eggs and started selling the eggs. He managed a flock of 250 hens and 120 roosters. Every alternate day, he collected 100+ eggs. Over the past month, his earnings have soared to an impressive `90,000/- by selling 3000 eggs, a testament to his unwavering entrepreneurial flair and he is empowering others in the village
Our tribal communities have celebrated Bhoomi Poojan as part of Akshaya Tritiya. Our farmers and our staff worshipped the earth and livestock with a hope of better productivity and prosperity. The function concluded with an oath where everyone agreed to conserve soil, water and the natural resources.

Mr. Yogendra Saini, DDM, Mandsaur, MP, interacting with Lilabai of Village Pichhla in the NABARD supported Watershed project Lilabai belongs to Banjara community and her family doesn't have any agriculture land. Lilabai belongs to Banjara community and her family doesn't have any agriculture land. For their livelihoods, her husband migrated to south India to sell blankets and toys while Lilabai was looking for an entrepreneur opportunity. She was supported by Village Watershed Committee with inancial supportof `68,000/- from ther evolving fund to open a grocery shop while she added her own savings to invest in materials. Her monthly turn over ranges from`35,000/-to`40,000/- giving her aproit of `5,000/-to `6,000/-monthly .She is paying back `3,000/- monthly to ther evolving fund. Due to her entrepreneur skills, her husband stopped migrating and started to help her with the business expansion that include sale of milk/curd, soft drinks stored in refrigerator purchased by them.
Chilli & Turmeric cultivation by 90 women farmers in Jalkheda cluster of Barwani district supported by the Caring Friend project gave handsome returns. Then, a group of women came up with the idea to make packaged chilli powder/spices to profit more. Our team then approached NABARD for financial support under LEDP that trained the women and provided them necessary tools and machines to process and package. The women group efforts and products were appreciated by the buyers and that's how the sale of chilli and other spices started to raise while increasing the profit margin. For example, the total processed products in a month is 75 kg of chilli, 30 kg turmeric with a total value of `34,200/-
Sadguru Foundation organised “Mahila Kisan Sammelan” to celebrate “International Womens' Day” with the women farmers of Kotak Mahindra Bank CSR project in three districts. In the ceremony organised at Dahod, District Development Officer, Ms. Neha Kumari was Chief Guest and other dignitaries include Mr. B. M. Patel, Director, DRDA, Dahod, Mr. S. J. Pandya, Project Administrator, TASP, Dahod, and Mr. Aliasgar Mandliwala, Bank Manager, Kotal Mahindra Bank, Dahod. Over 200 women farmers participated in the sammelan and lead farmers shared the benefits of various interventions involving vegetable and flower cultivation and how it improved their livelihood.
- Farmer Field School organised at Jamadra village for a group of farmers from many project villages to learn the hi-tech drip irrigation, mulching, spacing of crop and improved variety of vegetable cultivation.
As a new marketing initiative, farmers of the project area are trained by Sadguru to open up fresh vegetable shops along the road side, adjacent to their village where urban travellers can easily spot the shops and purchase fresh vegetables and flowers at reasonable price. One such shop by a farmer named Bharatbhai of Palli village with the support of Axis Bank Foundation was inaugurated at Limkheda by Mrs. Sharmishtha Jagawat, Managing Trustee, Sadguru Foundation.
SHG women groups of Barwani district under Caring Friend project brought to Dahod for exposure visits to observe the initiatives around vegetables, flowers and agriculture in Dahod district by Sadguru Foundation to learn through interactions with the implementing farmers so that they would be able to replicate similar interventions in an efficient manner.
