Purpose
The Foundation established its Training Institute in 1995. Its purpose: to share Sadguru’s proven, replicable model of agriculture-based livelihood through access to water, enabling individuals and organizations across India to adopt and implement these best practices in their own communities—regardless of geography or culture.

Training & Education
The NM Sadguru Training & Education initiative is rooted in the belief that sustainable rural development begins with empowered farmers. Having pioneered impactful work in water resource and watershed development across tribal regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, Sadguru Foundation recognized that training and capacity building were key drivers of this transformation.

The Power of Community Participation

The Role of Community
in Farmer Education

Community Participation
01 Increased Trust & Credibility
Community-led training fosters a sense of collective responsibility, making members more receptive to learning. Since participants see tangible results from others who have already implemented the training, they gain confidence in the program’s effectiveness and are more willing to adopt new practices themselves.
02 Better Adoption of New Techniques
When people see peers benefiting from training, they are more likely to adopt and implement new knowledge in their daily practices.
03 Peer Learning & Knowledge Sharing
Members can exchange experiences, best practices, and lessons learned, enhancing overall learning outcomes. Familiarity within communities encourages active participation and collective problem-solving.

Women in Charge: Leading Agriculture and Finance
NM Sadguru Foundation has empowered thousands of women to become financial decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and agricultural leaders. Through women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs), they now manage resources, access credit, and contribute to household incomes. Women also lead in product processing and marketing, driving economic growth and ensuring the long-term sustainability of these initiatives.
